» No Smoking Day

No Smoking Day 9th March 2016

It’s No Smoking Day on Wednesday, and to mark the day the Treforest Health Centre will be hosting a number of free drop-in sessions.

This includes a lung function test to show you your lung volume, lung strength and lung power, as well as Carbon Monoxide testing.

The drop-in sessions are available between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday (March 9) at the Treforest Health Centre, Pontypridd Campus.

There are lots of health benefits and financial benefits to quitting smoking.

You can also find out additional information about local support services that can help you to stop smoking.

Need a Nurse Appointment? You can now book in advance

Need to register with the NHS and University Health Service or have a health problem then book in advance through Unilife at a time to suit you.

GP appointments at Campus Clinics only available through the nurse appointments.

Please do not rely on drop in sessions to be seen as when we are fully booked you maybe turned away.

The University Health Service will re-open for registrations and drop-ins on Monday 21st September 2015.

For students registered with Ashgrove Surgery

Any students wishing to apply for extenuating circumstances will need to book an appointment with the GP to complete the form. Ashgrove Surgery are requesting that these appointments are to be made at the Health Centre, Treforest Campus rather than directly with them.

The Health Centre on Treforest Campus will be closed today 23rd April between 10:00 – 14:30 for staff to attend a team meeting.

The Medical Centre Caerleon Campus will also be closed today.
